Flat roof on conseravtory

Afternoon all,

I'm having attached to my house a 2m x 5m upvc conservatory floor to ceiling - no small brick wall.
The conservatory will be built on a ConservaBase steel frame. We've decided on a flat wooden roof, not polycarbonate, with an EPDM finish. The manufacturers will be strengthening the frame uprights to support the roof.

I'm thinking of bolting a support beam to the external brick wall level with the top of the upvc frame and then fixing 12mm ply sheet to span this to the upvc frame, then the roof joists sited on top and across to the the upvc frame. On top another layer of 12mm ply then Kingspan insulation then another layer of 12mm ply then finally coated with EPDM. The roof will overhang the conservatory by about 200mm on 3 sides. Should I consider putting insulation in between the joists for extra insulation?

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated please.

That will probably be because you can only attach PDF or Pictures.

Why not take a screen shot of your document and add it as a picture?

Just a point. Am I correct in thinking that once you put a 'solid' roof on a Conservatory, it ceases to be afforded the Planning exemptions afforded to a Conservatory?

i.e. Instead of being a Conservatory, it becomes an Extension.

Just a point. Am I correct in thinking that once you put a 'solid' roof on a Conservatory, it ceases to be afforded the Planning exemptions afforded to a Conservatory?

i.e. Instead of being a Conservatory, it becomes an Extension.

I’ve just posted regarding making making my poly roof conservatory solid. My reading on the subject is for a semi detached property to avoid planning it must extend less than 3metres from the rear and be a metre from the boundary to the side. As far as I can tell the roof material is irrelevant.
