What hight should I install nogs?
I'm currently building a stud wall in my kitchen. I want to fix cabinets into them so I want to insert additional nogs to screw the cabinets into.
The height of the floor cabinet will be 870mm from the floor before the worktop unless I'm mistaken so I'll attach the nogs for the floor cabinets 870mm from the top. But what height should I attach the nogs for the wall cabinets at?

From the floor surely, not the top?
Noggins for the wall cabinets will depend on the type of fixing, the desired height of the cabinets, and the size of the cabinets.
It's simple maths once you know all of that.
One day it will all be firewood.

What hight should I install nogs?
I have only done a few kitchens as a DIYer
it will depend on the height of the wall units and where the fixings are.
We had a set lower in one kitchen because of ceiling height of a false ceiling on one side of the room , years ago
usually around 490/500mm depending on thickness of the worktop
our current kitchen only has 1 run of wall cupboards and it is set 530mm ( just measured ) from top of worktop to bottom of upper cupboard plinth, But that was set to match a full height wall to ceiling set of units adjacent after a door - wickes kitchen.

My full height unit is ext 192cm add 15cm plus, clearance for plinth if you want to match to wall cabinet height and if yours have adjustable feet; my wall cabinets are all ext 72cm high and the adjustable wall hanger fixing bracket has screw centres ext 5.5 to 6cm from top. I found them a pain to set up, as you can see I had to cut a larger openings on this one. My cabinets have a crown moulding which hides the flat rectangular extractor duct and underside trim which hides the worktop lights.

if its a howdens kitchen then the fitters handbook says 890mm to the top of the cabinets and 1222mm from the top of the base cabinets to the top of the wall cabinets. think its about 50-60mm lower for the wall brackets screw holes,.
weird how i remember the first set of measurements but always have to check the cabinet bracket measurement

Another thought, fairly standard......
Feet/plinth = 150mm, base units 720mm (total 860/870mm for first noggin top).
Worktop 40mm, bottom of wall cupboard from work surface 450mm, many common wall cupboards 720mm (makes top of wall cupboard 870+40+450+720* = 2080mm). Put noggin slightly below, say 2000 - 2060 for 18mm carcasses.
NB 1, * adjust the 720 if using shorter wall cubboards, often 570mm, which puts top at 1930 so brackets at 1850 - 1910.
NB 2, make a note of where the noggin is installed and fit hangers accordingly once cupboards received & bracket requirement measured.
NB 3, look in catalogue to find specified height of full height units available, that will be the giveaway.
