Hi,
I’m installing a shower elbow and have made a measurement error that came to light when the elbow sits approx 4mm proud of the tiles.
I’m looking for suggestions to make it sit flush; I’m wondering about hack sawing down the part show in the photo (don’t know the name) or replacing it with a shorter one.
Thank you and best regards,
Patrick

Installing a shower elbow - measuring error
1. If you are talking about reducing the length of the end with the larger diameter you could do it. However:
1a. If whatever fits to the end requires a flat seating you will need to clean up the cut end and make it perfectly flat and at right angles to the axis.
1b. It would be wise to fit a nut (preferably steel) onto the the threaded shank before cutting. Then you can undo it to help clean up the threads.
2. If its the small end that's the problem, you clearly can't reduce it.
