Hey guys,
I’ve just painted a huge gable with 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield exterior masonry paint.
It was fine for a few days and now it’s gone yellowish where the masonry between the granite blocks are.
It’s pretty unsightly and I’m not happy leaving it for the customer obviously.
Any help with what to do would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Help - Yellow stains leaching from masonry on granite wall
I would apply two coats of a water based stain blocker stretched a fair way beyond the stain. They are a bit temperamental, they have to be thoroughly mixed and applied according to the instructions or they can fail. Applying any oil based paint over a water based can cause problems where damp is involved and especially over a broad area.
