How to Chain drill steel

Chain drilling is a technique that is regularly used in metalworking if you do not have a milling machine or laser cutting machine available. You can use chain drilling to cut out virtually any shape at all from metal using a simple drill. When marking out the work piece for chain drilling it’s a good idea to get the holes to intersect each other so that they join up into a slot. This makes it much easier cutting out the piece as if the holes have a space between them it may be necessary to use a hack saw blade to join the holes together.
