Stainless steel tiles are now a very popular choice and are often used in the food and petrochemical industries or places where an high standard of hygiene is required. Stainless steel is very durable and will not rust or crack or fade with time.

Stainless tiles are sometimes fixed by means of a sticky backing pad and some require the use of tile adhesive. Most stainless steel tiles can be fixed successfully with a grab adhesive such as no more nails etc. Because the tiles are metal there is no need to spread a bed of notched adhesive on the wall, you can just apply some grab adhesive to the tiles and stick them in position.

Cutting stainless steel tiles can be difficult. A jigsaw and a fine metal cutting blade will do the job, but be ready to file the cut edge afterwards as it will be sharp.
