Hi all

We're going to be spending over a grand on stone for our conservatory :wtf:

The limestone we've found is very thick (could be an issue as we are having underfloor heating and 10mm insulation boards) and will need sealing/care/maintenence

HOWEVER

I found this company who are local! Zeus limestone. They make synthetic limestone tiles, 9mm thick and no need for sealing/protecting. Will look JUST like limestone too

http://www.zeus-limestone-flooring.com/

seems too good to be true?

cost wise its the same as the limestone (without sealing costs)

also is cheaper to have fitted

has anyone got any opinions / experience of these tiles?

thanks

Dave

Well if possible, I would ask to get my hands on a few tiles to actually feel the texture etc. The 9mm would certainly help the heated floors if that's what you're going for. Check some other comparables too.

Please let us know how the project is going. I actually have never felt heated floors. I'm not quite in that earning bracket yet I don't think haha. That would be a very nice feature though. How much does something like that cost? I'm actually getting ready to put in a tile floor. If it's not that expensive I might consider doing it. Where is a good place to get tiles for a good price? Has anyone ever tries Link removed by Mod 6Please let me know of any good tile prices anywhere. Thanks

Hi there

It's nearly all done!

Firstly .. Zeus limestone. The seller (an old pompus chap) was RUDE RUDE RUDE! I basically told him no chance because of his attitude. Plus the zeus 'limestone' is basically porcelain tiles at limestone prices!

We went to GMS in staplehurst and purchased 900kg of 19m2 20mm limestone. LOVELY stuff!

here is a pic, it is all down now, going to seal it tomorrow and then grout

underfloor heating is all in aswell, 2 zones and two warmup 3ie controllers.... but I wont be switching it on to check for a good week yet! Multimeter checks all seem fine though

I never answered the price bit...

UFH mats were about £300

Controllers were £100 each

£10 on glue gun sticks!

Installed myself
