Just moved into my new place and I've waited for my phoneline (from Sky) to be activated the date has been and gone and still I wasn't getting any dial tone so I decided to just check the phone socket before I called.

Now just a little background I'm an I.T. Technician and have wired many an Ethernet socket so when I opened up the the phone socket believe me when I say it looks like it was done by a drunken monkey, Wires everywhere, one completely disconnected (not including brown/brown-white) the others have varying lengths of "tails" coming off after termination.

anyway I'm fairly confident and I have the right tools for the job so all I've been trying to find out if the socket is correctly wired before I re-terminate it but I can't find a guide for an LJU4/1A :help:

Any use? ... Wiring.htm

As always help on here is free, however if you think you have saved a decent sum of money why not click the link to find out about the charity we're currently supporting? A couple of quid makes a real difference.
