Hello,

Ive got a Alpha C27 boiler and wish to fir a wireless thermostat to control temp rather than the analog clock it has now.

Ive read on here that the boiler will need 230v switching.

The majority of stats I see seem to have no volt switching.

Are such wireless thermostat that have a 230v switch available?

Many thanks :thumbleft:

No volt means you select the supply and it could be 24v or 230v the option is yours. With 230v you will likely need to have a link fitted.

It connects to 1 and 2 in the boiler after you remove the link.

Look at the Honeywell DT92E.

Remove the link in the boiler 1-2, or post back if it already is.

T1 goes to A.

T2 goes to B.

And you need a neutral and live.

You also add a link between A - L.

Hello again. A quick update. I bought the CMT927 model.

just to clear my mind here, I have 230v L and N going to the relay box.

I have linked the L to terminal A.

I am now going to get some flex from work to finish the wiring off so just I now next I should....

Remove the link from T1 and T2 in the boiler.

A to T1 and B to T2.

What do I do with the existing clock as currently there is a link from the 230v L to T2 which is putting permant supply on clock? Does this just get disconnected?

The red wire out of T1 goes to a N/O contact on the back of the clock, the otehr contact then going onto circuit board. This will need linked also?

Thanks

Ok so it's all changed, you don't need the link from L to A in the stat.

Remove the link 1 to 2 if in place.

A goes to 2 in the boiler and B goes to 1 in the boiler.

What timer do you have.

thanks for such a quick reply, i did wonder about A going to 2 because of the mentioned link.

The clock is just the standard option that is fitted in them as far as i can tell, matches the one in user guide.

A little confused, is the clock wired to the internal clock connections or the boiler connection block.

Perhaps a pic before you start.

There you go mate,

The Red in T1 goes to number 4 on the internal clock, 3 goes to the connector at top left centre of board

The brown out of T2 goes to the supply of internal clock number 2

Can you identify the numbers on the connectors on the left of your pic.

The two with the red link we are interested in.

I modified the manual for you.

If you remove the link the switched live B goes to terminal 1, and A goes to terminal 2.

This is what the stat should look like.

Note I changed the T1 and T2 numbers over to suit the boiler.
