 Post subject: Window locks and catches

We're replacing the window locks in our house however we can't find replacements that fit over a bevelled window frame (see pic). Any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks!

are you saying the metal work is moulded to the woodwork ??
if so you will probably have to find the window manufacturer and check iff they have any other to fit or find one that will fit if you remove a bit more material

I'm not certain about this but from the photo I think these are CEGO cockspur handles for timber windows made for Jeld-Wen who are a large timber window maufacturer.

If I'm right these were fitted to new build houses about 10 -12 years ago.
CEGO are no longer in existance and were taken over by Laird Security.

If you want a more upmarket handle (which isn't hard as these were about as cheap as they come!) then its likely to be difficult to get one to fit the profile, but if you want a like for like replacement Jeld Wen are probably your best bet.

If fact they may still be the best bet as they may already use a more up-market handle on the same system.
