Hi, Just have a roof contractor fitted 4 tiles vents on roof, when they left I checked the loft and spotted some skyline holes, i was wondering if these holes will give me leaks in the near future pls? they weren't there before btw.

1. A hammer handle tip punched hole through the roof cloth but the roof tiles cover it, will this leaks pls?

2. The centre line top of roof have skylights from cloth but tiles cover it?

3. A couple of nails punched through the cloth missing the wooden panel?

Also, they gave me 5yrs warranty for job & parts. But the warranty is from their own company, is that assurring pls, the contractor have been in business for sometime now?

thx alot

Hi Jamesndeb,

I would get them back now while the weather is good, if you can see daylight from inside the roof space, then chances are water will get in. They will thank you for telling them now as opposed to an insurance claim if the roof does leak. It is unlikely that they would have gone into the roof space to check having done the work externally. I'm sure it is just a small error on their part.
