I have been using Wicks PBA for ages now but am finding it increasingly expensive (about £14.50 for 3 litres)

I looked online the other day and saw some stuff called Feb Bond i think, anyone got any experience of using this stuff or anything else which is a bit cheaper than Wicks PBA??

I mainly do re-skims and covering artex and haven't found anything to rival WPBA when the wall's a tad dodgy but am getting to the stage where i would be keen to try something of better value.

Cheers....

I know what your saying i always use WBA now instead of PVA and is costly :-(.
I have this page bookmarked but have not got around to getting hold of any yet to try.

I have used Plasterers Pregrit, Wickes PBA and Thistle Bond it. I think the wickes one is actually the best.

If I have a whole house to do and it is not artexed, I hire a textured surface remover from HSS to cut through to the plaster and then use PVA as you normally would. I have never used the Febond stuff, but Everbuild are a no nonsense manufacturer so I don't see how you could go wrong. Selco do one for £ 35 if mail order is inconvenient.
