It depends on the time of day who/where you get when you ring Orange/wanadoo...

Not a race isue with me as such but I do get fed up keep saying 'pardon' or having to repeat myself.

Have you noticed that Nat WQest are now using a British call centre as a selling point in their ads?

Since my last post on this subject I have done the same thing....was tempted to go with Sky (phone, sky broadband 26 quid a months all in) rang for a mac code from wanadoo, who instantly offered me 6 months free to stay (which I turned down)..the Mac code was then activated giving me amonth to sort everything

..rang Sky only to find out it wasnt available in the area!!..

Contacted Orange and said i'd 'changed my mind' .....and tol them I had decided to take them up on the offer of the six months free..plus.......im sure they mentioned somehting about a free wireless modem

So one of those is one the way too

If you dont ask..(or try it on!!) you dont get in this world

But all this just goes to show how desperate they are getting for business.

Forget speed quoted, forget price.

If you want connectivity and speed look at the contention ratio, that's the number to look for.

What it means is simple at any time the number of connections that will be accessing the same pipe.

Bit like plumbing

have a look at http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ good sit and good links too.

I'm not that up to date with who's doing what, haven't looked for ages.
