The 'like' button is known as the 'thanks' button on this forum :lol:

I agree: sometimes a *Like * seems more appropriate than a *Thanks* and I don't tend to use the thanks button when I would have "Liked" something.

As for youth culture, you see the odd punk around, but you never see psychobillies (something I used to see a lot of in the 80s). But a lot of youth youth culture is far less tribal than it used to be, and so you don't get those distinctions quite as much.

I just use it in either case. It's only what the word is on the button.
Some forums have Thanks, some have Like.
One I used to go on had a vote up or down thing that was unpopular.

Dewhurst "the master Butchers" we had 3 in Ringwood back in the late 70's as well as 2 independent Butchers. Just one Indy left now and 2 supermarkets.

Proper ironmonger's shops. With a lots of little drawers on the wall behind the counter.
The last one I knew of hasn't long shut down here. Sad to see that go.

Starting handles on cars, handy when stuck in mud use handle with plugs out to 'wind' car out.
Kick start on motorcycles.
Advance/retard on cars and bikes.
Decompression lever on motorcycles.
Hand operated oil pump on motorbikes.
Redex at filling stations.
