Ok so i have just moved into my house and took a quick a look at whati thought would be a drain but it's just a hole so what on earth is it there for? Any ideas?

Would of thought there would be something useful leaking under the soil at the bottom

Could always leave lid off,fill it with beer and use it as a slug trap,we seem to have loads of them this year !!!

Still looks like a rodding eye to me.

Be worth seeing it's position relating to the drains.

Stick a stick down the hole to see whether there's a hole under the soil.

Had a look today there are some pipes at the bottom of the hole. Looked like waste pipes.
