New homeowner and relatively inexperienced DIYer.

I have a gravity-fed system with an old re-circulator pump that makes a ton of noise. I had a boiler serviceman come by to have a look and they noted that I should get a new pump. They quoted me around £330.00 for the labour and materials, but the gentleman seemed to suggest that it was quite straightforward for me to do myself. I asked them what pump they intended to use and they said it was a Grundfos complete pump.

Here is an image of the current pump

Here is a video to hear what it sounds like: https://photos.app.goo.gl/nNDkc1MivDtBCeeG3

I've rotated the image so that the text is readable but it is naturally oriented with the text upside down.

Would it be possible for you gents and ladies to walk me through what I need to replace the pump?

I'd stick in a fixed head circulation pump like this, cheap as chips buy two & have one as a stand-by;

I only fit Wilo pumps these days, and for a lot less than your quote!

Wilo are the best ERP circulation pumps.

Actually had my first failure about a month back Dickie.

Lasted about 2 months.

Hasn't stopped me from fitting them all the time though. :thumbright:
