Could someone give me some advice on what to look for when buying a new mobile phone as every phone I thought about buying the reviews have said buy another phone. I don't want to spend over £200 but it must be 4g ready and have a half decent camera.

I've had Samsung galaxys for a good few years now. The one I'm currently using is a Galaxy Alpha which I've had for over 2 years. Contracts up so I've just stuck a new battery in and gone sim only.

It could depend on what you have already. :dunno:

I was happy enough with my antiquated Nokia payg, but I needed internet access while out and about, (mainly to find the nearest khazi or eateries with disabled access for the wife).

I bought a Motorola G4 Play and it does all I need it to do - I'm not a huge fan of mobile phones so it may lack some functions you particularly want.

Full spec here:- http://www.gsmarc.com/motorola/moto-g-play/

Most people I know don't answer their mobile phones when an unknown number comes up (I'm as guilty as everyone else) So I'd recommend something which doesn't have caller display (if there is such a beast)

I assume you are talking of a SIM free phone. I have a SIM free Motorola the Moto G which cost around £170 from Argos. I have a £10 a month contract with EE for 300 minutes calls, 250mb data and loads of texts. This is it http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7457010. I am happy with it as it has a good 13mp camera which takes nice pictures and videos. The small data allownace is perefectly adequate for my needs as I never download music or video from the web unless I am connected to Wifi at home etc.

I have been happy with it and the way I look at it is writing it down at £10 a month, the equivalent deal if I had a contract phone. I am clear of the phone cost is 17 months so I am in profit thereafter.

I would suggest you write down what you want from a phone and then find one that suits what you want.
By asking which phone you should buy, you still get a bunch of opinions for a bunch of phones and you still have to choose, some of which may not meet your needs.

Plusnet Sim only. Uses EE network.

500 minutes
2000 texts
1gb data

Monthly contract.
£5 per month.

There are one or two cheaper deals but they use the 3 network.

My phone is a £20 Amazon Payasugo and does all that I require.
But I am not recomending that, just wanted to tell you I changed my provider to Giff Gaff
and they have been advertising some really cheap Smart Phone offers.
Check with them, the smart's started at about £50

I have a nokia lumia 630 windows phone and I wouldn't buy another nokia as the camera broke after a few months and when your on the internet it sometimes shuts the internet off. I want a phone that has a better camera than 5mp and a screen that's 5" or bigger so I can search the internet.

I think if you're looking for a larger screen to make internet searching easier you might be better off looking for a tablet. I don't have any trouble actually using my phone, but compared to using my desktop PC to browse the internet it's difficult, I gave up trying to access any forums on my phone.

Yes I want a sim free phone. Do you have the moto g5 phone or the moto e4 plus as the link you posted is for the moto e4 plus.

It will only be for when I'm out or on break in work.
