Bought a small apartment in Malta a couple of years ago. On the roof there is a 300+ litre cold water bin with a lid. Not sure what this feeds? Due to circumstances we haven't been there for the last 18 months. I'm just wondering, what if anything will have happened to the water in the tank left in that baking sun for so long. Is it likely to turn green for example. Should I drain it all down and refill when we next go there? or do you think it's OK to just turn up and use everything as normal?

It will need draining and chlorinating, depending what it's used for, I would get bottled water for cooking and drinking until you get it checked.
