I think I know the answer to this one, but thought I'd double check:

With a vented system, you can in theory connect the shower to the tank and feed it that way, but that's a stupid way of doing it and will severely reduce the flow through the unit.

Instead, best to tap off the rising main and feed it that way.

Am I correct? (probably not!). At least that's what's happening in the house I've just got. YOu can't hardly get wet in the shower it's so weak.

Electric showers are designed to be mains fed in most cases.

Also if the electric shower is a low KW output then the shower will be naff. Also if the shower head is crusted up with limescale, or the shower hose has partially collapsed internally, that doesn't help either. :sad:
