In my perents house we have 3 sinks and 2 toilletes. If somebody flushes the toillete both the sametime there knocking, banging and noises. Same if the toillete flushed and a tap running as well. If you run 2 taps the sametime you ge the same problem. :help:

It doesn't do it with the hot water at all. Just the cold water allways the problem. :angryfire:

Whats the problem going on here all the time? :cussing:

What happens if you turn the stopcock up or down a turn? Probably a worn washer/jumper in it

Do you mean on the toillete or the water stop tap for the hole lot?

As it affects all of them I'd say most likely the main one!

Funny you say this all the other taps and pipes are new. The stop tap for the mains is a very old one. I change the hole tap for a new one. What causes it to do all this thow?

So the water will have to be switched of outside from the mains. Where would this be in the outside drain grid by the house or down the road?

These separate to switch of or does it switch other houses of?

thanks

Usually either the washer is worn out and misshapen or the jumper inside the tap is loose.

The best way to fund the outside stoptap is to ask their neighbours

Doubt it the main stopcock.

Did the problem start soon after you fitted the new taps.

The problems been here with the old taps and new taps. Also with the extra toillete and sink its still the same if not worse.

But the outside tap if you turn it on abit it will knock turn it on more its fine.
