Hi everybody,
I have just fitted a washing machine in my friend's place. Trouble is it is making a massive vibrating noise while running. I did not bother to fix it tightly top to bottom. I can raise it to fit it tight to the front of the worktop but what do I do to fit it to the rest of the worktop as 2inch from the front the worktop is not that thick. Also the machine is at at the end of the worktop and there is a 2 inch gap from the wall. Do I insert a wood wedge between the machine and the wall? The previous machine id not have any wedge.
Cheers,
James

no the last thing you do is wedge it in tight
causes off vibration can be floor or floor covering not firm and hard
legs not properly level causing it to rock
machine has uneven load or loose /damaged suspension or weight

From past experience I would say it could be not level, transit brackets, touching something else or something internal like bearings (if old)

did you unpack the machine ???

the transit bolts are at the back can in a triangular formation can also be 2 or one bolt these stop the drum moving in transit

Hope you have not damaged the machine running it with transit bolts in! Also ensure the machine is levelled before testing. I assume you didn't bother reading the installation instructions! Who does!!!!!
