Hi, Ive been looking at washboys on ebay but the prices vary massively for what looks like the same product.

Any of you guys use them and got any recommendations?

I'm leaning towards the Rubi because Ive used Rubi products before and have always found them to be decent quality but don't really want to spend more than i have to.

Not all washboys are created equal! Some have metal rollers others don't, some have heavy duty grids some don't, and the quality of replacement sponges differ

Rather than the Rubi I would suggest the Karl Dahm

I've got the karl-dahm washboy but most of the time I use it as a bucket to carry my grouting tools in! I paid £50 for it a couple of years ago and it gets the odd run out if I've got a really big floor to do but I find it leaves a bit too much water on the floor for my liking.

Do you not use it for walls at all?

Hardly ever mate. I prefer a rounded sponge on walls.

dont like them myself,ATG is correct about it leaving to much water on the floor,am with him rounded sponges for me...think even some of the mfr for grout dont recommend them..

I have a Karl Dahm copy washboy that does the job just as well. Mine cost about £30 from a tile shop in Derby, Tile Town. No problems with it at all, big bucket strong gris and good sturdy sponge with comfy handle. I do floors and large wall areas with it again no probs.
