Hi, I have bought some paper for a "feature wall" the wife wants in the bedroom. The paper says that i should paste the wall and then hang the vinyl paper on the pasted wall. It also says in very small print, this paper can be hung normally. I presume it means i can paste the paper as i have always done in the past. What is the best way to do this and also if I paste the paper how long should i allow it to soak???

thank you
What the ?

Yes your correct you can do it either way, and pasting the wall isnt that bad a method if you can do it, failing that stick with tradition and the label should say a soak time, if not about 5 mins, all depends on thickness really.

if you paste the paper use a roller instead of a brush as some vinyls stretch when yu are pasting them and this can distort your pattern Bang Head

No Korka, just that some people dont like the idea of paste the wall, also the paste you use is stronger and you dont have much play once its up.

Marc - never had a paper distort when pasting, be that by brush, roller or through my machine, the only time a correctly printed/manufactured pattern will distort is when you leave it to soak too long and then man-handle it mate.

When borders were in vogue Rolling Eyes I would still paste the self adhesive ones, they were a nightmare to apply, as you couldnt get any play with them, so in the end I would paste them, never had any problems.
