An high suction wall is an absorbant wall that will suck moisture from the plaster very quickly, such as common bricks or thermolite block.

A low suction wall would be constructed from something that will not suck the moisture from the plaster quickly, such as engineering bricks, or perhaps a wall that has had a skim of render with integral waterproofer.
