Does anybody have any experience of this MPV, good, bad, or indifferent? Mrs M has shown an interest in a wheelchair carrier based on this vehicle.

Depends on the model, some are fairly basic, some are fully loaded.

The van itself, as youd expect from VW is good stuff. Hold their value well also.

Cracking engines, pretty economical, is that a 1900d? Good for well over 300k if its looked after

The model we've seen is a 2.5 diesel 7 seater. They remove the middle row of seats and the driver's seat, modify the floor, install a lift by the nearside rear sliding door (motorised) and fit hand throttle and brake controls. It would cost almost £40,000, which with the finance would actually be £82,000 over 10 years(£157/week).

At that price you really do have to get the choice right, don't you!

The T5 is a very popular base for camper conversions so probably means they are very flexible and adaptable.
Out of interest, with those changes, would you be able to drive this as well, then in some way

She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.

The vehicle driver's seat is fitted with a new underframe on small wheels so it can be installed for when somebody else has to drive, such as MOT testers. Sadly, my eyes have gone too bad to drive now, so I sent my licence back to DVLA.

We can't afford the vehicle new, but hope to get a used one later, or get some conversion done to a standard vehicle.
