Are all in one wetroom kits any good?

Are all in one wetroom kits any good? Is it easier to just get all the bits you need in one package, or are you better off shopping around (to save money, get better products etc)

I wouldn't splash out on one.

How do they know what you need / want, buy the stuff your self.

I don't know, but my problem is that if I visited the throne when I would eventually get out it could look like I pi$$ed the rear of my troosers. Just sayin...

On a different note, when a friend asked me what I thought about wet rooms, as he was thinking what happens when he is older, I suggested he gets the largest possible low profile shower tray he can fit in the space he has, ideally with two open ends, and consider if that feels large enough for later in life. He opted for a shower tray etc, [only for some connection in the handbasin taps to leak and screw up the ceiling underneath]

I've never used an all-in-one wetroom kit, so can't comment on that, but as far as the above goes, I completely agree. A big low-profile shower tray is a better option for elderly people than a bath-with-a-door (what a crazy idea they are!) or a wetroom, I think. You can fit those fold-down waterproof seats under a shower when/if standing up for a few minutes becomes difficult. That's deffo what I'd have if I manage to make it to a sufficent age to need something like that...

If you're going to build for a possible future, then go for wheelchair accessible, you just never know.

Only kits I've ever bought were Airfix, about 60 years ago, I never realised that they existed for bathrooms, but just research the prices of what's supplied, you'll soon know if it's worth it.
