Gap between render & brickwork

Post by wickedwjc » Sat Apr 20, 2019 2:58 pm

Hi all,

I have a gap between render and brickwork (approx 17.5mm at widest point) - see photo. I'm wondering if this should be filled with mortar or whether it's better to use something more flexible?

Any thoughts? Thanks

Looks like an expansion joint should probably use some kind of caulk like np-1
