Bearing for lintel above window
Afternoon everyone, hope someone can help. I have removed a wooden lintel above a window, acrow props and strong boys in position. Currently , there isn't enough bearing for both ends of the lintel as there was shoddy brickwork. How would I add to the wall to increase bearing? What wall ties would you recommend? Would I use a lime mortar even though it would be the internal leaf that I would be adding to? Any thoughts and advice much appreciated. Hope the pics give you an idea of my predicament. The first pic is bottom left of window and second pic is top left of window.Thanks.

Tooth out the brickwork and rebuild it with a 5:1 mortar mix.
