Which mini down lights?
I am looking to put mini downlights in my shower room. I have found some here but they are Miniature Adjustable LED Downlight 3W Ansell Iris at about £15 each. Is this about as cheap as they get?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Which mini down lights?
They need to be ip rated, what size are the ones your looking at, 35mm ??
£15 isn't than expensive - does that include the driver/transformer or are they 240v ?
Aurora do some nice fittings

Re: Which mini down lights?
A quick Google suggests that the Ansell lights the OP is looking at are built in LED 12V non IP rated lights. The trouble with them is that if one fails in 3 years time then the OP might not be able to find a replacement.Bob225 wrote:They need to be ip rated, what size are the ones your looking at, 35mm ??

I would suggest lights where you can swap the lamps.
And BTW Aurora are about the best

Re: Which mini down lights?
Sorry for the delay Wino and all. Last evening I was sat in a pub garden to celebrate the sunshine, and today we went to Slimbridge Wetland Centre basically for more sunshine - a pretty nice place that was too.
They will all be ceiling lights in a wet room / shower room. I over looked the lack of the Ip65 rating on the ones I was looking at. I will have a look at the Aurora line. I just want anything smaller than usual really.

Re: Which mini down lights?
Is it a full wet room ? iirc it has to be IPX4, if its a shower IP65 (technically ip44 should be ok if above 2.25m)
what is the ceiling height ?
A quick look - Aurora Enlite E5 - IP65 - around the £12-15 mark
