Paint for new Accoya front door

Post by Minibbb »

Evening chaps

We are having a new Accoya front door fitted in a couple of weeks so I need to sort some paint out!

The Mrs fancies a f&b grey so I'll need a product that can be mixed.

The question is what is suitable for Accoya and is both robust and produces a nice finish?

Many thanks!

FWIW, I've just painted an accoya french door / side panels combo (four large frames) with.....

Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Waterbased (Gloss or Satin available) mixed at my local independent merchant to a RAL colour.

Does not, purportedly, need undercoat so just slapped three layers on and it looks great.

Takes a bit of getting used to, though. Too thick it runs, to thin it drys to quick.
