Paslode fuel cells

Post by Tredder »

I have a paslode 360i first fix which uses an inline (straight) connector fuel cells I nto the gun. I have a bunch of older fuel cells with a 90 degree connector.

Being of a frugal disposition, I thought if I whip off the old 90 degree connector and replace with a correct straight connector, I could use up my old cartridges....

So, the cartridge seems to locate correctly when pushed into the gun and pressing the nose gets the smell of gas (and the recycling sound), but the energy reader on the gun shows red and the gun does not fire.

Does anyone have any clues why this might be?

The ‘new’ connector seems to seat correctly, there is no sound or smell of gas leaking when not in the gun. I am a bit frustrated that I have full cells but can’t use in my pazzy..

Out of date fuel cells will rarely work in a Paslode, either 1st or 2nd fix.
One day it will all be firewood.
