what to use to paint wardrobe?

I have purchased an old pine wardrobe that has previously been painted white. It's pretty old and rough looking so I'd like to repaint in an off-white colour.

What type of paint should I use for this? I'm not wanting gloss or the distressed look that is popular right now. Satin or Matt would be best I guess. Any brands or colours that are good? I was looking on amazon and a lot of the paints seem to have pretty negative reviews.

If it's painted then give it a sand/key then go on with your paint.

I'm looking for a matt/satin finish. Dont want the shining and yellowing that often comes from Varnish or the more rustic/distressed look that seems to be fashionable right now. A simple off-white is what I'm looking for.

Thanks, I went with the Helmi 30 and have got a really nice finish.

Cupboard paint adheres well..wash down, rub down with fine abrasive paper and roll a couple of coats on using a sponge roller

I've had excellent results with a mohair roller sleeve.
