I am wanting to add some Fernox F1 protector (Combi boiler) It says I can add it via the fill loop, but mine only "seems" to have one tap to turn off (not a problem, he said hopefully) so I was wondering is this the next best way (see following)
1) Turn off boiler
2) Put small bucket under drain off valve under the floor.
3) Open drain off valve, fill small bucket
4) Open / remove upstairs radiator bleed valve screw
5) Close drain off valve
6) Inset pipe into radiator and fill with F1
7) When F1 bottle empty, put bleed screw back
8) refill / pressurise
9) Turn boiler back on
I also purchased a filling kit with the F1, but its not quite suitable, so I adapted it......
If there is an even easier way, please say so.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

Sounds about right. If you have one a towel rail is the best one to use as you can just remove the 1/2" bleed from the top and bung it straight in
I think I'll take two chickens...

Thanks again, it worked very well. (Almost) almost done and the tube popped out of the bottle, the silicone had not set 100%, but 90% of the F1 had gone into the radiator.
