hi there. the red light on the pullcord switch in the ceiling stopped coming on as well as the red power switch on the electric shower. after some googling i thought it was probably the switch mechanism in the pullcord switch. I've replaced the switch but still the red indicator light isn't coming on on either the pullcord switch or the shower unit?
appart from getting an electrician in are there any other suggestions?
thanks in advance :)

Thanks yartin on the consumer unit all is fine [nothing's tripped]. there's power going to the pull switch but the neon light isn't showing. would the shower unit itself have a fuse?

Re: no power to electric shower
Have you wired the switch correctly ? they are normally labelled "supply" and "load" (or similar) supply is the cable from the consumer unit and load is the cable to the shower.
Lecky off before checking.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.
