Hi all,
I am looking to paint some places around the window
and 1 place in the corner where I each 2-3 weeks need to clean mould
because of water and air condensation.
I reckon it will take 3 - 4 coats to solve it but what is from your point of view best solution ?
Any links or names would be appreciate.
Thank you.

The first answer should of course be to identify and eliminate the source of the condensation/moisture that causes the mould to occur in the first place. Another topic, probably.
Having said that, I have recently (hopefully) eliminated a source of mould at a rented property we own, the wife feels that, although we have removed the mould itself, she should treat the area..... she researched online, and settled on the purchase of some fairly pricey Ronseal Anti Mould paint - though we haven't opened the tin yet as waiting for the plaster to thoroughly dry out. Apparently it is supposed to last for six years.....
I see that there are videos on youtube about it, but haven't watched them myself. Also purchasers' reviews on Amazon, not read, look for yourself.

Remove all the mould first (HG mould spray or similar) then a couple of coats of zinsser perma-white.

You can paint over it but the paint "over it" will not be mould resistant. But I believe it can be tinted, meaning with a white base, it can be tinted to some pastel shade. However, as all the main paint manufacturers make mould resistant paints, they could come in the colour of your choice (again I guess as I have never had to use one and I am too wasted to check), it does not have to be a Zinsser product to solve the problem.yartin wrote:Can you paint over zinsser perma?
