Lamona /howdens larder intergrated fridge and freezer instal
Hi everyone
I am fitting a kitchen and have an intergrated Lamona fridge and freezer full height to fit.
They have been supplied with slider kits which I'm familiar with however the appliances have hinges suitable for door on door fitting so I either need to throw away the slider kit and fit on to the door or change the appliances hinges and use the slider kit.
Seems contradicting to do this, has anybody else come across this issue?
Thanks

unless theyve changed things ive always installed the doors to the cabinets and adjusted them to suit. obv using the specific hinges as they usually supply different to standard cabinet hinges.
then fitted the doors to the fridge door with the little sliders.

Thanks for the reply.
Howdens have supplied the slimline hinges however even with these hinges I cannot get the fridge or freezer to get close enough to the inside of the carcass to fix to it as the hinge that is on the fridge is far too large.
I have been in to howdens and asked but they didn't know

got any pics? usually the fridge would sit hard against the left hand side of the cabinet if it was hinged on the right and vice versa. the fridge would be attached to the cabinet in the middle of the fridge with little brackets. also the legs screw in and the top plastic can be screwed in and made nice and neat with a little bit joinery.
then just open the fridge door and atttach the sliders as normal

I'm a bit out of the loop with all the various kitchens these days, but aren't the slimline hinges supplied with the fridge cabinet carcass whether you need them or not?
If that's so, it's obviously why you've got them, but that doesn't mean you have to use them if the other method is more suitable.

One day it will all be firewood.

What do the instructions for the fridge/freezer say?
If it's a door on door appliance then you need to fit it like that and discard the slim hinges.

It's all very contradicting. The booklet that comes with the fridge says to fit slider as best policy and the kitchen manual says door on door but the hinge on the actual appliance is door on door.

Not currently not back to the job until after new year. I believe I need to change to hinges on the fridge and freezer and use the slider kit supplied.
