how to wire a double pole pull cord switch

Hi. I'v scoured the web but am unable to find the answer to my question.
You are my last resort before I call someone in.
I'm installing an inline shower extractor fan with timer and independent pull cord switch.
I've done the isolator switch and now I'm at the pull cord switch from the bathroom ceiling.
If the switch was a single pole switch with 'com' and L1 I would know how to wire it.
The live goes to 'com' and the neutral/switch live goes to L1.
But what I bought, without realising, is entirely different.
It has L in, L out, N in and N out.
my question is how do I wire it?
In other words which terminal for the live and which for the neutral/switch live.
I'd be grateful for any help. Cheers

As wine~O said, but to expand on what you have (For future reference)

A normal (on/off) switch is what is known as "single pole"
This means that when it switches (on or off) it is only switching the Live

A double pole switch switches Live and Neutral. (At the same time) Obviously, you have to connect it so it can do this.
It is if you will two single pole switches, sitting side by side, but they share the same "button / pull cord"
You can use one as a single pole switch just by using one side of the switch. i.e. Live in, Live out.
The idea of using one is usually to make sure whatever it is connected to is isolated from the mains supply.

There is also such a thing as a Tripple pole switch. These are usually found near a bathroom extractor fan. (They are called fan isolators)
When switched on or off they switch the Live, Neutral and Switched Live to the fan, so that the fan is totally isolated from the supply.
