Adding Loft Lights To Joists / Beams

Hi,

Ive never done any work in the loft before. ive bought a few 1200mm led batten lights to go in the loft of my bungalow.

im fine on the electrical side, but are the roof joists and beams ok for me to screw my lights onto and carry their weight without ruining the integrity of the roof beams and structure?

Yes, I have 1.2m fluorescent in my loft fitted on the beams which came with the house when I bought 16 years ago and still there.
