Having re-tiled the bathroom floor I am about to re-install the toilet.
The outlet nearly meets the existing outlet pipe at the back but not quite.
Inserting a thin piece of hardboard would do the trick. Is this a sensible option
or is there a way of sitting the toilet on a paste/adhesive base to get a better fit ?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

It would be best to use an offset pan connector see here https://terrybookers.co.uk/toilet-pan-c ... -262-c.asp If you use hardboard it is likely to get wet and blow at some point putting strain on the joint so if you do jack it up it will have to be hard, impervious to moisture and take the weight of the users. check out the connectors, I am sure that is the best solution.
