Tracing down exactly where a spur goes to.

I need to add a spur and wanted to try and get away with having to pull up laminate and floor boards. However after checking the socket I wanted to spur from it would seem there is already a spur in place. So i went to the only other socket in the room and pulled the face off to find it wasnt a spur...ok so i checked the one in the hall. Again it seemed to be part of the ring. Im lost as to where it could lead to. Is there any thing i can do to find out without ripping up the floor?

Nope.

(Well you could hire a cable tracer, or you could disconnect everything and check to see what gives continuity) But either way is a either expensive, grief, or both.

The room on the otherside is where I want to send the spur to (bathroom conversion).
I'm starting to wonder if it's being used to supply the boiler, even though it's downstairs it is being fed from a fused spur that leads up.

turn off the upstairs ring and see what stops working elswhere
otherthings could be bell transformer/ariel booster/attic socket

If that doesn't narrow it down enough, you could then disconnect the actual spur and see what doesn't work after power is restored to the ring. BUT that depends on how competent/confident you are with electrics, as you'll need to electrically identify which is the spur - without endangering yourself.

Also, don't assume that the wiring has been done as you expect, e.g. two wires doesn't 'necessarily' mean a ring. It could be a radial circuit for instance. Or something not to standards - I've seen 2.5mm radials run from a 30A fuse, or 2.5mm spurs run off spurs in a similar manner.
