(Safety) Goggles or "specs"

Post by Someone-Else »

Just wondering which do you prefer, or is it ..............something else?
Above are my opinions Below is my signature.

Would you hit a nail with a shoe because you don't have a hammer? of course not, then why work on anything electrical without a means of testing Click Here to buy a "tester" just because it works, does NOT mean it is safe.

 If gloom had a voice, it would be me.

Specs are OK if you're "walking around" in an environment where work is being carried out.
You need goggles and /or possibly a face shield if you're the one doing the work.
I use indirect vent goggles that fit over my prescription specs.
I've had one chunk of steel dug out of an eye. I don't want to do that again.

Depends on the job really, any kind of grinding and I use googles or faceshield, for most tasks glasses suffice.

a mate of mine is obssessed with not wearing them for anything. he even takes the guard of his angle grinders the nut case

another mate of mine was banging on and on for months about getting a pair of prescription safety glasses from his work. then he finally was given them. he came to help me out one day so i picked him up. dropped him at the shops to get some milk and that. they fell out his pocket ad i drove over them haha squashed them flat
