Bummer. I just bought a 1 metre set of drills a week ago at £27. At least I did what I needed to do.

Those multi use spanners are pretty handy. They've got me out of a few tight spots.

Yup. I have similar. Very good (if I can find them) if you got worn out heads.

Are those multi spanners any better than footprints?

Do not miss the multitool blades, they are well worth £6 :thumbright: They are quite good quality.

We actually made a small pair as part of our apprenticeship training.
Cut out the shape for the handle, and then shaped it with a press tool.
Cut and filed the inner handle and jaws, and case hardened the teeth.
Turned and knurled the screw.
All worked fine, and were used for all sorts/
Still got them somewhere.
I actually prefer them to the Stilson type for some things.

The Footprint wrench was invented in 1875 by R Ellin and are manufactured in Sheffield by Footprint Tools Ltd.

Love my footprints, very useful for all sorts of plumbing and non-plumbing jobs.
