Textured embossed wallpaper question

Do decorators paint over new anaglypta pattern wallpaper if only a plain white finish is needed or can if be just left unfinished and painted over next time the room is to be redecorated in a couple of years?

Normally you would paint it, but if you are happy with the result nobody can force you.

I always paint it. However well you hang textured paper, the joins can be visible to some degree and a couple of coats of mully will blend everything together.
There are no problems - only solutions
