Bay Window Roof
I'm in the throws of sorting this window-corner-leaks-when-raining-t94144.html out and found the ridges (is that the right term?) are sitting on very crumbly lime mortar
What are my options here? Something tells me re-mortaring them to slate and lead isn't very smart, or maybe it is?

Re: Bay Window Roof
That is exactly what you need to do. Carefully remove and clean off all the existing ridges and rebed them using a morter of 3:1 builders sand/cement.. At each ridge tile joint you need to fill the void under the joint with broken pieces of tile bedded on mortar. When all are bedded, tidy the joints with a pointing trowel.

Re: Bay Window Roof
Ok, thanks for this. When you sat "fill the void under the joint with broken pieces of tile" is that roof slate or something similar?
