Concrete floor garage
Hi..I’m looking to raise the level of an existing concrete floor in garage and have it levelled out as it is cracked (because it is on a slope-its been there about 70 years). So the concrete floor will be re-laid to the same level as the path. We have a lot of red bricks left over from a garden wall knock down. Builder said the bricks could be used to raise the floor once the existing concrete floor is broken up. Brick could then go into floor space with fresh concrete levelled out throughout the bricks and then on top….good idea or not??

Re: Concrete floor garage
Crushed brick can suffice as long as the earth below is well compacted and level. Ultimately MOT 1 granular sub base is the preferred medium for a sub base. It is superior to regular hardcore.
