Single post garden swing

Hi I want to build a gallows style single post garden swing like the picture attached, my question is if the post I'm sinking in is 2.4 mtrs high above the ground and the cross rail for the swing attachment is 240cm long. How deep should I sink the post? And how wide a whole if I'm surrounding with concrete?

Deep and big. I'd say at least 4ft deep and probably a foot square concrete block to be on the safe side. There is a lot of weight just in the frame and when you factor in kids swinging on it, it amounts to a lot of load. I'd go belt and braces on it for sure.

There may even be a formula but I'm not sure.

It may even be worth adding four "feet" (i.e. a cross) at the bottom of the upright to spread the load/stresses
