Is there a name for this type of cupboard door?

Post by ant665321 »

Hello,

I am wondering if this style of cupbaord door has a name that can help me find a replacement or find a carpenter who can make a new one. I have the same cupboard on the other side of the room however it is missing the middle door.

Thanks in advance

It is a shaker style door in its basic design but it has a moulding on the stile and cross rail edges. These can either be a door made by a compressed MDF type material and plastic foil covered or made up from a wooden frame and a panel. Depending on how handy you are, and what tools you have, you could make a copy with 12 and 6mm MDF. Say if you want to know how? This is the proper way to make them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7d8dXUyUqEc
