Painting external scaffolding

Post by london77 »

Hi

Been going round in circles...

I need to paint some external scaffolding (garden pergola of sorts) ~ 18m2 in total.

Prime / not bother / what paint?

I'm trying to avoid spending a fortune but am after a subtle not gloss finish, something like https://www.dulux.co.uk/en/products/wea ... or=1187843 2.5l should give me 2 coats.

But does it need priming? :dunno: Dulux decorating centre tried to sell me internal eggshell and said not to bother priming which says an awful lot about their advice...

If you look on the page you linked to, under the "tips and advice" tab, it says that metal should be primed, and what to use.
