How to remove this toilet seat?

Post by ragingspackle »

The back of the toilet is not accessible, so can't get to the fixings.

I've tried pulling it with the seat at 90 degrees.

It does slide a bit from side to side.

Any ideas?

There's probably a clip at the back and it slides forward. That's how similar ones I've seen are removed.

Does the bar that goes through the toilet seat unscrew? Because it looks like once the bar is removed, the cover can be popped off to get to the screws under the cover.
Perhaps the two ends of the bar push inwards on a spring to release the seat?
