Hi everyone
I am looking at replacing my old (now beige/brown coloured) EP2002 CH/HW controller with a EP2 one and have read that the EP2 is a "direct replacement" but when looking at my current back plate and wiring, it looks somewhat different to the backplate of the EP2 which I've seen online?
Anyone here knowledgeable enough to tell me which wires go where on the newer model?
I have a GlowWorm 15HXI boiler with CW tank in loft and HW cylinder in airing cupboard upstairs if that helps at all?
Thanks
Chris

Looks like they have used the programmer backplate as a wiring centre.
You need to find out what each wire connects to before attempting any work on this.

Hi Dave
Thanks, the blue tape is what I attached to remember where to put the wiring back to as I had to remove it completely to do the tiling... I'm trying to find a wiring diagram PDF for the EP2002 to find out what all these wires do but have not had any luck as yet. The back plate for the EP2 looks very similar but just doesn't have the A B C D terminals it seems?

Agree with Dave above. I'd also number ALL the wires to correspond with the connections. Preferably with proper cable numbers. Also make a proper sketch of the backplate, with where the numbers go. And take photos.
It saves loads of bother.
